My Turbulence Training Transformation Contest Day 1
Today is my day 1 for the 11th Turbulence Training Transformation Contest. I used my first day to take a look at the amount of calories and foods I should be eating, taking my starting measurements and photos, and setting my goals for the transformation contest.
Transformation Contest – Calorie Counting
I began my day setting myself up with a calorie counter on my mobile phone. This will help me count the calories. There are several apps you can get. I think I am using myfitnesspal. Some of them you can even scan the barcode of what you are eating to enter in the information. I’m basically constructing a few meals I can put together day after day so it makes the counting easier then have to figure out the calories of something new each day. From the Turbulence Training Nutritition Guide I figured out that my optimal calories per day to get fat loss is 2200. My goal is to eat 5 meals a day. I get up around 8am and sleep at around 11pm. That gives me about 15-16 hrs awake each day. I’ll eat around 8am, 11am, 2pm, 5pm, and 8pm. The goal is to start at around 500 calories for the first meal and taper it down each meal as the day goes on.
Transformation Contest Measurements
I took my measurements on the first day as well as a transformation before picture with the current day’s newspaper.
I am a 32 year old Male with the stats:
Height 5’11
Weight 198 lbs
Bodyfat 21%
Chest 40″
Arms 13.75″
Hips 40.75″
Waist 39″
Thighs 23″
Calves 15″
Forearms 10″
Shoulders 48″
Neck 15.5″
I did my measurements with my Myotape and my Fattrack 2 bodyfat caliper. These aren’t all required. I think you only need weight as well as waist size. I took this many so I can track where I made the most significant changes.
Transformation Contest Goals
My goal is to weight around the 170lbs mark with about 12% bodyfat or better and also trim my waistline down to 34″.
It’s going to be a tough task but it is doable.
Getting pumped for my first workout on Day 2.
