My 8th Week of the 11th Turbulence Training Transformation Contest
This is week 8 (June 19-25) of my Transformation in the 11th Turbulence Training Transformation Contest. It was my last week for the 2K4 workout. The beginning of the week wasn’t very good nutrition wise but I did keep it within the calories. The foods I ate just weren’t the best I could have had. I continued using my travel roller each day.
Turbulence Training Transformation Contest Day 50
Today was father’s day. My son made me scrambled eggs for breakfast. I also had some raspberries, an apple, glass of vegetable juice and a protein shake. I did some rolling around on the travel roller in the morning.
For lunch I had some chicken and left over pasta.
Dinner was at my parents. I had a hot dog, tuna macaroni salad and pork. I skipped out on desert as I have been for most of the contest. I think I’ve only had a few deserts along the way.
Turbulence Training Transformation Contest Day 51
Today’s breakfast was 2 pieces of toast with peanut butter and honey, some raspberries, a banana and a protein shake. I had a lack of food available so added a protein shake to it.
For lunch I was out shopping and had a steak sandwich with some fries and a diet Pepsi. I can’t believe how much pop I’ve been drinking.. and diet at that.
I did my workout at 4pm. The dreaded workout B. I increased my weight 5 lbs per dumbbell. The Bulgarian split squats are getting better. I actually got 12 reps in for the first 2 sets. Still no weight though. My legs felt better though. Not sure if it had something to do with the travel roller I’ve been using. I know my legs do need some work though.
After my workout I went for a cool dip in the pool. For dinner a hot dog, pork and tuna macaroni salad.
Turbulence Training Transformation Contest Day 52
I started off my day with a bowl of kashi cereal with milk and sliced banana. I also had 2 eggs with cheese, raspberries and a glass of vegetable juice.
For lunch I had some mashed potatoes, rice and chicken.
Dinner was another hot dog… I think I’ve had them 3 days in a row.. I also had a few fries with it.
My exercise for today on my rest day was cutting the grass. I also used my travelroller in the morning.
I started my 24 hr fast after dinner. I got some new Extra dessert delights gum and it’s sugar free. Mint Chocolate Chip gum… and I’m allowed sugar free gum for my fast. Tastes pretty good to.
Turbulence Training Transformation Contest Day 53
I continued my fast for the day. I kept busy during my fast with housework.
I had chicken with pasta and vegetables for dinner. For my evening snack I had a protein shake and some strawberries.
Unfortunately I didn’t have time for my workout during the day so I worked out at 8pm while watching the NHL awards show. I upped my weights from the previous workout A by 5 lbs. It was a great workout and I feel like I could up my weights again but this was my last workout A from this program. Next week on to Buff dudes workout.
Turbulence Training Transformation Contest Day 54
I had 2 pieces of toast with peanut butter, honey and some cinnamon. I also had an apple, strawberries and a glass of milk.
Lunch was chicken with rice and an apple.
My dinner was Chicken with ham and rice. I also had some salad.
My snack for later was a banana and some strawberries.
No workout today but I did spend some time on my travelroller.
Turbulence Training Transformation Contest Day 55
Today I decided to cut my breakfast down in calories. I don’t need to eat as much as I have been for breakfast. I was aiming for 600 cal before but I’m going to target 450 cal now. I had a bowl of kashi cereal with milk and a banana. I also had a glass of vegetable juice. The cereal is such a small portion since it is so high in calories.
For lunch I had two grilled cheese sandwiches. They were small so it was probably around 500 cal.
Dinner was stuffed peppers with rice.
In the morning I had a massage. Apparently I should be taking it easy with the weights as I think the more weight I lift the worse my back gets.
I did my workout in the afternoon. I have now completed the 2K4 workout. I’ll be starting the buff dude’s workout on Monday. It’s always fun moving on to a new workout. I think 4 weeks is the perfect amount of time to stick with one workout. You don’t get bored but by then end you are ready to move on.
I started another fast after dinner. In the evening I watched the NHL draft from the floor on my travelroller.
Turbulence Training Transformation Contest Day 56
It’s my 6th Wedding Anniversary today. Wow time fly’s. This summer and Turbulence Training contest seem to be flying by as well. I’m already 2/3 of the way through this. Only 4 weeks to go and I’ll be doing the Buff Dudes workout. Hopefully it will turn me into a buff dude.. with a six pack!
No workout today. I fasted until almost 7:30pm. It was a late dinner. About a 25.5 hr fast. I had chicken cordon blue with rice. I also had a snack of grapes and strawberries later in the evening.
My dad told me the YMCA has a free 2 week trial on now. Maybe I’ll give it a try just to change up the scenery. I don’t think I’ll get as good of a workout though since there are a lot of supersets in the Turbulence Training workouts.
This week felt much better doing only 2 fasts. I think I’m around 2lb loss per week since the 6 week entry. I figured it would be slowing down now since I’m starting to run out of fat to lose. Only 4 more weeks to go.
